Face to Face with Nilesh Shah

It has been a memorable event for all of us at EASY Investments when the CEO of ICICI Prudential Asset Management company, Mr.Nilesh Shah recognized the efforts of Independent advisors and honoured them at a recently concluded event. Close to 75 top advisors across india attended the event.

After making a SWOT analysis on current market scenario, this young, 'college' look alike CEO did spend lots of time with the participants. Infact, Mr.Nilesh has been the most 'casual' CEO and the meeting with him has been closest ever encounter with such a top brain in the industry.

Award for “Asia-Pacific Cross Border Deal of the Year”

Ashutosh Maheshvari, CEO, Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Pvt Ltd bagged the “India M&A Investment Banker Award”, and Acquisition of Equipav (Brazil) by Shree Renuka Sugars (India) facilitated by Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Pvt Ltd won the “ASIA PACIFIC CROSS-BORDER DEAL of the YEAR” at the ASIA-PACIFIC M&A ATLAS AWARDS held at the Grand Ballroom, ITC Grand Central Hotel, Mumbai on September 23, 2010. The awards ceremony was organized by Global M&A Network.

GOLD STANDARD of PERFORMANCE, the ASIA-PACIFIC M&A ATLAS AWARDS honors top deals, dealmakers and firms from the greater Asia Pacific including India, China, South East Asia, Far East and the Australia/Oceanic mergers, acquisitions, private equity and venture capital communities.

Selection criteria for the awards are based on transaction performance metrics such as deal novelty and structure; sector and markets, jurisdictional intricacies; professional leadership; brand strength; resourcefulness; and other criteria.

Four Awards for EASY Investments

Success cannot be Spelt without 'U'. No doubt about it.

It has been surprising days on 25th-26th Jun 2010 at the "Wealth Forum - Southern Region Advisors Conference" at Bangalore which was attended by Top 100 Investment Advisors from South India : Andhra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala.

The Wealth Forum Advisor Awards was given away at the conference. This award is an industry first recognition of distributors and advisors who have done a commendable job in promoting the savings and investment habit among Indians using mutual fund products. The awards are purely objective, numbers based. No subjective element, no interviews, no biases.

Keeping in mind that it would be unfair to compare the achievements of Metro cities with Non-Metro cities, the metro cities of south india - Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore fell under one category. And the rest of South India fell under Non-Metro region.

Three broad types of awards were given:

- Growth Champion of the Year - This award goes to an advisor who has grown the fastest during the year in a particular category. There are totally six categories.

- Fund Champion of the Year - An advisor who is the largest at the end of the year in a particular category becomes the winner in this category.

- IFA Of The Year - He is a true all rounder - one who has displayed commendable growth across all performance categories covered in the Growth Champion of the Year awards

Frankly speaking, at EASY Investments every day is a new day. We have scores of work to be done : be it advising, portfolio tracking, solving investor queries etc, apart from processing various news relevant to investors. We enjoy our work to make each passing day a better day. This attitude towards excellence has put us in the awards category.

Amidst tough competition, EASY Investments cornered four awards in the Non-Metro category: ahead of all other south indian cities ex-metro's.
